Toni Biroth

Toni Biroth, also known as Anton, was born in 1955 in Bad Kreuznach in the Nahe region of Germany. He grew up in Spabrucken and attended university in Koblenz. Biroth, graduated with a degree in Business Management.

Born to a family of winemakers, Toni joined his family’s wine business for only a short time, before leaving to work for a large winery, Schlossgarten-Kellerei. In 1988, Biroth took over the 500-year-old winery and started his own business as a bottler and wine merchant. He named his new winery St. Antonius-Weinkellerei. Through the years, Biroth has maintained contracts with several local growers, ultimately securing his wine supply from vintage to vintage.

It is through one of these standing relationships, that Biroth obtains the wine used in Big Tattoo White. Experienced growers in the Rheinhessen and Nahe produce the Pinot Blanc and Riesling used in Big Tattoo White. When the wine arrives at Antonius Weinkellerei, Biroth uses his expertise to create the final blend, constantly ensuring the highest quality and best possible product.
