2 Brothers Riesling 2006

This wine comes from two brothers, Alex a wine importer and Erik, a tattoo artist. Together they created Big Tattoo Wines in honor of their mother, Liliana S. Bartholomaus, who passed away from caner in 2000. Alex manages all aspects of production and Erik's design of Liliana's favorite symbol, the Fleur de Lys, can be found on each of the winery's bottlings. For every bottle sold, 50 cents has been donated in the name of Liliana S. Bartholomaus, to selected charities focusing on breast cancer research and hospice care. Beginning in late 2006, the brothers expanded their mission to reach charities affecting the community where the wine is sold.

Big Tattoo Wines added the 2 Brothers line in 2007 in order to expand the projects reach. Donation funds raised will surpass $1 million in mid-2007. With the addition of the 2 Brothers wines, the winery hopes to donate another $1 million by the end of 2009.

Vineyards
The grapes for this Riesling come from in and around Piesport within the Mosel Saar Ruwer region of Germany.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of citrus, lime and mineral are complimented nicely on the palate by flavors of white peach and apricot all coming together on the clean finish balanced with nice acidity.
