His experience in France prepared him to travel to Chile. Beginning in 1999 he has been he would travel between Chile and the South of France to participate in different projects. He gained the opportunity to work extensively with different grape varietals such as chardonnay in barrels (Limoux, France), Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenère in  Colchagua Valley (Chile) and Syrah and Grenache (Aniane, France). He also worked as a buyer for Jeanjean (France).

In 2003, Pierre decided to stay in Chile to join the Big Tattoo Wines project. He is responsible for making Big Tattoo Red and Big Tattoo Syrah.
